1. Prepare Your Surface
   • Clean the surface that you are applying the design to.
   • ETCHED GLASS EFFECT & NEGATIVE SPACE VINYL: When applying large solid vinyl pieces like negative space or etched glass effect vinyl to glass, mirrors or our Design-A-Blocks, spray glass cleaner on the surface first to avoid air bubbles.

2. Place Your Design
   • Using the center location markings on the design, place the design on the surface, level, center and tack it with tape.
   • Stand back and examine the location of the design.

3. Mark the location
   • Using a pencil, lightly mark the location of the design on the surface.

4. Prepare the Design
   • Remove the design from the surface and lay the design, grid side facing up, on a hard flat surface.
   • Rub the grid side with your application tool.
   • Once you have rubbed the grid side of the vinyl, peel the grid layer off at an angle starting at the top left hand corner.
   • The vinyl should be sticking to the transfer tape.
   • Now you are ready to place your design.

5. Place Your Design
   • Place the design back on the surface and align it to your pencil marks.

6. Setting the Design
   • Smooth the design onto the surface.
   • Using your application tool, rub the transfer tape. (You are setting the design to the surface)
   • Starting at the top left hand corner and pulling at an angle, remove the transfer tape.

7. Overlays
   • If you are applying a 2 layer design, start over and apply layer #2.

Application Tip:
If your surface is textured use extra care when removing your transfer tape. Rub each letter as you pull the tape away.
